Vincenzo Trani, during the interview with l'Agefi, shared that Impakt Kapital, the distribution company of Mikro Kapital, is planning to inaugurate a new office in Geneva later this year, following the openings in Lugano and Zurich. This development underscores the successful expansion of their chosen distribution strategy in collaboration with Impakt Kapital. Established in 2008 in Luxembourg, this company specializes in securitizing loans issued in microfinance and currently has 200 investors worldwide, including around sixty in Switzerland.
"We have significant growth potential because there are many more investors in the country," explains Vincenzo Trani. Mikro Kapital is now seeking to expand in French-speaking Switzerland. Offering a multicultural and multiethnic business-friendly environment, Geneva represents "a key market," he says.
Mikro Kapital primarily targets family offices, wealth managers, private banks, pension funds, and insurance companies, as emphasized by its president. The group currently manages a total of 350 million euros in assets. Its "Alternative" fund, which weighs 285.9 million, finances 500,000 micro-entrepreneurs located in developing areas of 13 Eastern European countries, as well as in Asia.
It invests in loans and leasing operations with small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Securities are issued in Swiss francs, euros, US dollars, and renminbi.
